The popular "gooseneck" cup holder pedestal is about 7" tall. The base expands to fit varying cup holder openings. It however, will not work with adjustable-type cup holder openings or those that are quite large such as the ones on the Full Size Chevy trucks. This pedestal does work with most other vehicles, however for some types of cars, the cup holder is not the best location in which to mount a device. Please check your clearances carefully. The Mobile Dock-iT UCH-100-BL is designed to be installed in any cup holder. Begin installation by locating a cup holder in which you would like to mount your Mobile Dock-iT. Configure the flexible shaft the way you would like and position it in your area of choice. Make sure there is nothing in the cup holder when you install this unit. Clean the desired cup holder with a cleaning detergent. Make sure there is absolutely no debris in the cup holder. Clean the surface by using the provided alcohol prep pad. Affix the provided resealable fastening system to the bottom of the desired cup holder, and also to the bottom of the Mobile Dock-iT to give the Mobile Dock-iT a secure fit. Recommended curing time for the resealable fasting system is 24 hours. With the lever open, place the base of the mobile Grip-iT in the desired cup holder of choice. Hold firmly while depressing lever outwards creating a secure fit. Install the Mobile Grip-iT or any Amps compatible or T-Notch compatible device to your Mobile Dock-iT. Your Installation is Complete! The Bracketron Mobile Grip-iT contains a number of mounting options that allows the end user to mount an unlimited number of todays most popular mobile devices. The wings on the right and left expand by pressing the button on the lower right hand side of the unit. To adjust it to the unit that you are mounting, place the unit inside the mobile Grip-iT. With the wings in the open position, close them so they grip the unit tightly. To accommodate for larger/smaller objects, you can slide the wings up or down so that the unit is securely fastened in the Mobile Grip-iT. You can also adjust the feet so that they secure the bottom of your XM Satellite Radio or other portable device. Also included is T-Notch adapter plate for mounting other units such as Satellite Radio & GPS. |
